Sword Transport Helps Bring Back Rodeo Tradition To Spruce Point Park

There was a long-standing tradition that each July long-weekend you would find a people gathered around the rodeo grounds at Spruce Point Park. Families, friends and locals would watch some of the best ride rain or shine! As time went the annual event stopped, that is until Canada’s 150th birthday when a group of dedicated people decided to “bring it back” and Sword Transport is proud to be a Gold Sponsor ever since.

The rodeo is fully sanctioned by Wildrose Association Rodeo with many fans favourites including but not limited to: bull riding, barrel racing, calf wrestling, bareback and the always entertaining “milk a cow” race.

The rodeo also pays tribute to both the local Rodeo stars as well as the communities’ fallen cowboys. This past year, they were proud to honour Reed Churchill, a young local cowboy taken too soon.

Sword Transport is active in the rodeo and 4H community and would love to see this event continue to make memories for families and future generations to come.
